Dermal fillers have helped millions of people to fill in hollow areas and reduce signs of facial aging without the need for surgery. If you are considering undergoing a Liquid Facelift treatment with fillers, you probably have a number of questions that you would like answered.
What Are Dermal Fillers?
Fillers are injectable substances with brand names like Juvederm®, Restylane®, Radiesse®, and Sculptra®. They contain various ingredients like poly-L-lactic acid, hyaluronic acid, and calcium hydroxylapatite. In the Liquid Facelift procedure we use Juvederm® Ultra, Juvederm® Ultra Plus, Belotero®, or PRP (platelet-rich plasma).
What Kind of Filler Is Juvederm®?
Juvederm® is another hyaluronic acid filler that also contains lidocaine to ensure patient comfort. Juvederm® is formulated in a proprietary process leading to an extremely silky smooth gel that flows easily under the skin. Once injected, Juvederm® helps to reverse the process of hyaluronic acid depletion that led to the formation of lines and wrinkles.
The Other Components
After we’ve chosen which filler will be used during the Liquid Facelift, the other components can be decided on. For this treatment we offer Botox®, a Youth Diamond facial, and iS Clinical home care products. We want to ensure the best results possible in our office that are followed up with at-home care for longevity.
None of these treatments require any downtime, so you can come in for your Liquid Facelift and get back to your regular activities the same day. The iS Clinical home care products we include will last you for three months, at which point you can return to us to get more.
How Long Will My Results Last?
The answer varies, since every product is different. Generally, dermal fillers offer long-lasting results ranging from six months to a year or more. Factors like your age, genetics, and lifestyle can influence how long your results last. Botox® usually lasts four months, so with a Liquid Facelift you’re looking at four months to two years.
At some point, the dermal filler that you were treated with will be fully metabolized by your body. At that time, you will require additional injections for the maintenance of results.
